03/10/2016 David Horn Monochrome Intermediate

I backlit the flower by making a box with a translucent film on top and a light inside. The flower stem was poked through a hole in the film. Then I added a couple of front lights; one on each side; to provide detail in the center of the flower. The image was shot with a Canon 5DII and a Tamron 90/2.8 macro lens at F16. I shot three bracketed exposures and HDR-Processed them using Photomatix Pro. The resulting color image was converted to monochrome using Nik Silver Efex Pro software, and further enhanced using Adobe Photoshop.
